“Many and varied are the interpretations dealing with the teachings and the life of Jesus of Nazareth. But few of these interpretations deal with what the teachings and the life of Jesus have to say to those who stand, at a moment in human history, with their backs against the wall.”

About the podcast

Ike & Stephanie have been hella tired of the many failures of the institutional Catholic Church, especially in its rejection of movements & struggles which center Black liberation.

Ike & Stephanie had a lot of offline conversations about all the disillusionment… like, a lot a lot.

Ike & Stephanie decided to bring those radicalized conversations to you.

About the hosts

Ike Ndolo (he/him) is not afraid to block a bigot (or two). he has had a love/hate relationship with all the things that come with working in Catholic ministry for years. at Disinherited, he’s the resident storyteller & keeper of the Zoom; in his everyday life, he’s a working musician & a devoted family man. also, he’s ready to burn some stuff down & get free.

Stephanie Espinoza (she/her) is angry & she’s gonna make sure you know. she waste--er, spent 10+ years trying to change Catholic youth ministry from the inside before getting as far as possible from it all. at Disinherited, she’s the owner of the Google Docs & resident question-asker; in her everyday life, she’s a working writer & a hoarder of books. also, she’s ready for the incoming revolution.
